Anthem Gives Ed Nordholm Directions To Get Impact Back To “Break Even” Point

Following reports that Impact Wrestling was having financial issues (even noted by former employee Earl Hebner), The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that that Anthem has given Ed Nordholm the directive to get the company into a break-even position. The feeling is that with enough cost cutting (getting rid of people with high salaries, having few if any full-time contracted wrestlers, use guys on daily deals, and no longer compete with ROH or WWE money for young talent that everyone wants) that it may be possible.

The company does have some income sources, mostly the Sony Six television deal from India and the other international deals. They talked a few months ago about getting back into doing live events, but after the shows in the New York area didn’t draw well, they haven’t done more events.
